September Market Place

Greetings,

The next exciting adventure that is _*Bury Lets will take place on
Tuesday, 7th September 2010 at 7.30 in the So Bar.*_ It is Zero waste
week so lets make sure we eat all the cakes and biscuits in the great
cake swap.

Also for those of you environmental minded there is a screening of "No
Impact Man" at the picture house cinema. Karen "the rubbish diet"
Cannard says of it:

"It's about the challenges experienced by a family who chose to live
"off-grid" for a year in New York. They set up their blog shortly
before I got involved with the Rubbish Diet and I've followed their
experience with interest. It would be great if you could make it, as
the movie should be thought-provoking viewing covering all aspects of
eco issues and community involvement. There'll also be a Q&A session
afterwards that I have been asked to host and have duly accepted, and my
role will be very much chairing and engaging discussion amongst members
of the audience who are attending that evening.More info about the
screening can be found at

http://gonoimpact.dogwoof.com/screening/

Tickets are £7.00 and I'd recommend buying them in advance from the
Picturehouse box office."

And for those of us historically minded; Bury is holding national
hertitage days 9-12.9.10 when buildings not usually open to the public
are open (such as the Norman Tower) -hurrah. Many of these
events/buildings require booking. Please pick up a leaflet or pop into
the Tourist Information centre (TIC - come on who thought that one up?
and do they have Limes disease?) for more info. Oh yes and most events
are FREE!

Hope to see you on Tuesday,

Best Wishes
