Welcome to the year of the ox!

As a fan of all things bovine I am very happy usher in the year 2009.

This year we have a new place to meet, the most excellent So Bar (have a look at their web site http://sobar.t83.net/#/home/4530625754) and by popular demand monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month (except August.)

So without further ado here are the BuryLets meeting dates for 2009

PUT US ON YOUR CALENDAR!

We will be sending out a reminder a week before and a full *newsletter* will go out every quarter. We are looking for someone to write the newsletter.... so if want to spread the message about the wonder that is Burylets or just earn some abotts for 8 hours per year. We are also looking for events and messages to go in the newsletter monthly reminders, so to start us off the So Bar has an acoustic night on Thursday starting from 5th February onwards.
New Venue

The So Bar is a cafe/bar in Langton Place, they have very nicely said that we can meet in their back room (it has mirrors on the ceiling and a Da Vinci on the wall race you to the bad jokes!) So come and trade, have a natter and sample the excellent beveridges on offer. There is parking in the town centre and in Hatter Street.

Events planned for this year in additions to the monthly meetings include a quiz and an Easter egg hunt but we need more input from you about what you would like to see and do. So please email the core group, get involved. We would love to hear more from you, just not about my spelling and gramer...... (Shakespeare and Einstein couldn't spell either) Speaking of which, attached is a piece sent by Joe Scanlan regarding the root of all evil... MONEY.

Remember one person's worst Christmas gift EVER is another persons object d'art, think Banksy versus Constable (I would pay money to see that one!)
