Brian Wright sends us news of a new series of green evenings, running on the second wednesday of every month at Hawstead Village Hall.

Topics include eco-products, trees & CO2 and recycling.

Bury LETS is a closed economic system in which members exchange goods and services using its own internal currency called "Abbots".

A central accounting system records the balances of members' accounts.

Members learn about each other through the monthly newsletter, LETS Exchange and the accompanying directory. This contains members' details, goods and services offered or wanted, and dates for social events.

Bury LETS hold a monthly marketplace where members can meet socially, trade, and attend demonstrations and talks.
